Running the London Marathon for Myton Hospice
In April 2027, I’ll be taking on the London Marathon, running 26.2 miles to raise money for Myton Hospice.
In May this year, we lost the queen and rock of our family, and I wanted to do something in her memory while raising money for a charity that means a lot to us and meant an awful lot to her too.
She loved running, and we were lucky enough to run the Great North Run together, which is a memory I’ll always have. So when the opportunity to run the London Marathon came up, it felt like the perfect challenge to take on.
I’ve got a lot of training ahead of me, plenty of long runs and probably a few moments where I’ll wonder why I signed up! But hopefully I can raise as much money as possible for Myton Hospice along the way.
They gave our family so much care and support when we needed it most, and I’d love to be able to give something back. No matter how small if you can donate anything it is much appreciated x
