I’m taking on the London Marathon to help raise £150,000 for The Myton Hospices amid a national hospice funding crisis. That could fund the running costs of the Warwick Inpatient Unit for a month. Please sponsor me today.

In April 2027, I’ll be standing on the start line of the London Marathon—59 years old, slightly terrified, hugely determined, still in shock that I am physically able to do this and humbled to have been invited to run for a cause that genuinely matters: Myton Hospice.

This isn’t just a race for me. It’s a commitment to honour the incredible work Myton does for people and families facing some of the toughest moments of their lives. Their care is compassionate, dignified, and deeply human. They support people when support matters most, and they do it with warmth that stays with families forever.

I am doing this because for too long I have looked on with pity and sadness, watching others deal with their pain, unsure of how I can help, how I can make a difference. What I have come to realise is that we can all do something, small or big is not what matters, it all counts.

Whether you wish to support me with a donation, or your best wishes, I welcome it all warmly and with open arms.

Thank you for helping me make a difference.
