Ellie’s London Marathon 2027 🏃♀️
Hello! I can’t quite believe I am writing this — I will be running the London Marathon 2027 to raise money for Myton Hospice.
Myton Hospice is a charity that is very close to my family’s heart. They played a significant role in supporting my partner’s grandad during his end‑of‑life care after he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. The kindness, dignity and comfort they provided meant so much to everyone, and their support is something our family will always be grateful for.
Myton’s support also continues to make a real difference within our family today. My partner’s grandma lives with a life‑limiting illness, and Myton has become an important part of her week. She attends their coffee mornings, which give her a chance to socialise, feel supported, and stay connected. They also provide her with reflexology sessions, which she finds incredibly helpful. These small but meaningful things make a huge difference to her wellbeing, and to us as a family.
The hospice provides extensive support for families, children and patients, doing everything they can to make care and treatment as positive and dignified as possible. They are a charity, and only 17% of their incredible work is funded by the NHS. The rest relies solely on donations.
This is why running the marathon means so much to me. It’s a way of honouring the care they gave, and helping ensure they can continue supporting families like ours for many years to come.
If you’re able to donate and share this further it would mean the world to me. Every pound genuinely makes a difference and helps keep Myton’s doors open for the next family who needs their kindness.
Thank you!
Ellie 💕
