I'm taking on The Myton Hospices Santa Dash to help raise £60,000 this Christmas! Please sponsor me today!
We know that’s a lot of money, but with your support, we’re confident we can do it!
The Myton Hospices provides compassionate care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families - both in their Inpatient Units and out in the community.
To continue offering this care free of charge, they need to raise £12.7 million of the £15.3 million it will cost this year.
They are not the NHS - they are a charity, and just 17% of their funding comes from the NHS.
More people than ever need a Hospice Bed, and tragically, too many people on the waiting list for a bed at Myton will die before they can access one.
As the only provider of Hospice Inpatient Beds in Coventry and Warwickshire, the demand is huge.
That’s why I’m taking on The Myton Hospices Santa Dash this Christmas, to raise money so they can be there for everyone who needs them, now and in the future.
To reach this year’s Santa Dash target of £60,000, we rely entirely on sponsorship, and that’s where you come in. Just look at what your support could help fund:
• £360 could fund our Myton at Home service for a patient for one day
• £450 could fund an Inpatient bed for one day
• £545 could fund the required drugs for one patient
Please donate today and help The Myton Hospices be there for more people this Christmas.

Saturday 22nd Nov🏃♂️ I’m Running for Charity… Voluntarily! (Yes, Really.)
Friends, family, curious internet strangers—
I’ve done something bold. Something brave. Something slightly questionable.
I signed up for a charity run.
Yes, that means I willingly committed to running on purpose, without being chased, bribed, or lured by free snacks. (Although if snacks appear on race day, I won’t complain.)
Why Am I Doing This?
I’m supporting Myton Hospice, an amazing organisation that provides specialist palliative care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families in Coventry and Warwickshire from diagnosis to end-of-life. They’re out there changing the world, and I figured the least I could do was change out of my pyjamas and jog around for a good cause.
What Your Donation Does
Your donation won’t just fund this charity’s important work—it will also fuel:
- My determination to keep running past Mile 1
- My hope that I won’t collapse dramatically for the race photographers
- My dream of crossing the finish line looking triumphant instead of like a sweaty raisin
But more importantly, it helps the people that really need it, and that’s why this whole adventure is worth it.
The Big Day
On Sunday 14th December, I’ll be tackling 5k (I may carry on running if I’ve not collapsed by this point).
I’ve been training… which is to say, I’ve been thinking a lot about training. But I promise to be fully committed on race day—mostly because I already told people about it and now I can’t back out.
How You Can Help
If you’d like to support this noble cause (and my questionable cardio journey), please consider donating:

If you can’t donate, I fully accept moral support in the form of cheers, memes, or yelling “YOU’VE GOT THIS!” from a safe non-running distance.
Thank you for helping me turn sweat into something meaningful. Let’s do this! 🎉
