📅 When and where is The Myton Hospices Santa Dash taking place?
The Santa Dash takes place on Sunday 14th December at Victoria Park, Leamington Spa (CV31 3PH). Registration opens at 9am.
🏃♀️ What is the distance and do I have to run?
Our Santa Dash is 5k (that’s just over 3 miles) – but it’s entirely up to you how you complete it!
You can run, jog, walk, dash or even dance your way to the finish line.
The aim is to have fun while supporting your local hospice.
🗺️ What is the route?
🎄 Is the Santa Dash route accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs?
Yes! The Santa Dash route is fully accessible for both wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Whether you're dashing with little ones in tow or taking part in a wheelchair yourself, you’ll be able to join in the festive fun with ease.

🕘 What is the schedule for the day?
- 9:00am – Registration opens / Royal Brass Band (Set 1)
- 9:45am – Best Dressed Dog Competition
- 9:50am – Christmas Performance
- 10:05am – Mini Dash Warm-Up
- 10:10am – Mini Dash (for under 8s)
- 10:25am – Main Dash Warm-Up
- 10:30am – Santa Dash 5k Start (with festive snow!)
- 10:30am – Royal Brass Band (Set 2)
- 10:45am onwards – Mince pies, mulled wine & Christmas carols
- 11:15am – Christmas Performance
🎟️ What are the entry fees and when does the Early Bird Discount end?
Our Early Bird Discount ends Sunday 17th November. Prices are:
- Adults: £14 (Early Bird) / £19 (Standard)
- Children: £6 (Early Bird) / £7 (Standard)
Mini Dash for children under 8 is free and no registration is required.
🎅 What are the Santa Suit and T-Shirts prices?
To help reduce the impact on the environment, you are welcome to wear your own festive attire.
However, Santa Suits and Myton Christmas T-Shirts (which come with a Santa Hat) are also available to purchase for:
£5 each (while stocks last).
Sizes available:
- Adult Santa suits: One size fits all
- Adult T-Shirts: S, M, L, XL, XXL, 3XL
- Child Santa suits: 5–8 years / 9–14 years
- Child Elf suits: 5–8 years
- Child T-Shirts: 5–6, 7–8, 9–11, 12–13 years
🧒 Can children take part?
Absolutely!
Children of all ages are welcome to take part in the main Santa Dash alongside adults - we have children’s tickets available when you register.
Children under 8 years old can also join our Mini Dash (100m) at 10:10am, and will receive a special medal from Santa. No need to pre-register for the Mini Dash – just turn up on the day!
🐶 Can my dog join the event?
Yes!
We love festive pooches. Enter your dog into our Best Dressed Dog competition at 9:45am for a chance to win a prize. Please keep all dogs on a lead and ensure they're comfortable around large crowds.
🏅 Will I receive a medal?
Yes!
Everyone who completes the Santa Dash will receive a bespoke Santa Dash medal, which also doubles as a festive Christmas tree decoration.
🧑🎄 What should I wear?
To help reduce the impact on the environment, you are welcome to wear your own festive attire.
Come in your best festive outfit - Santa suits, Christmas jumpers, elf ears or tinsel tutus!
Just make sure to wear suitable footwear and warm layers underneath.
However, Santa Suits and Myton Christmas T-Shirts (which come with a Santa Hat) are also available to purchase when registering for:

❄️ Will there be food and entertainment?
Yes! Expect:
- Face painters
- Christmas performances
- Mince pies and mulled wine
- Inflatable Snow Globe
- Santa and his sleigh
- Festive breakfast items from food vendors
🚘 Where can I park?
Nearby public car parks include:
- St Peter’s Multi-Storey (CV32 5EL)
- Adelaide Bridge (CV31 3PD)
- Bedford Street (CV32 5DT)
- Royal Priors Multi-Storey (CV32 4XT)
All are a short walk from Victoria Park.
🧑⚕️ What about first aid?
First aid support will be available on site throughout. If you feel unwell - please alert a marshal or contact the events team on 07772 951 245.
For emergencies, always call 999.
📣 How can I help raise money?
By setting up a fundraising page, encouraging friends, family, and colleagues to donate. We also welcome Facebook fundraisers - just let us know if you’ve set one up so we can link it to your fundraising.
We'll be with you every step of the way with handy hints and tips to help you reach your target.
There's no minimum, but if you'd like to be one of Santa’s Little Helpers:
- Aim for £50 per person
- Or £100 for a family of four
VIP fundraisers who hit the target will get a reversible red and silver glitter Santa Hat, mince pie, and hot drink from our VIP Fundraiser Tent.

💷 Where does my money go?
Your fundraising supports patients and their families at The Myton Hospices...
- £36 covers meals for a patient on Christmas Day and Boxing Day
- £60 funds two hours of specialist nursing care
- £158 funds two children’s bereavement counselling sessions
- £450 funds one inpatient bed on Christmas Day
This year, we aim to raise £60,000 – enough to make an incredible difference to local people in need of Myton’s care at Christmas and beyond.
🧣 Are carer tickets available?
Yes! We offer free carer tickets for people who need assistance to take part in our Santa Dash.
Carers are expected to stay with you and support you throughout the event.
The person requiring assistance will need to buy a standard ticket as usual.
To arrange a free carer ticket, please email us in advance at events@mytonhospice.org with the name of your designated carer.
We’ll make sure their name is added to our registration list before the event day.
