I'm taking on The Myton Hospices Moonlight Walk to help raise £250,000 amid a national hospice funding crisis! Please sponsor me today!

We know that’s a lot of money, but with your support, we’re confident we can do it!

The Myton Hospices provides compassionate care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families - both in their Inpatient Units and out in the community.

To continue offering this care free of charge, they need to raise £12.7 million of the £15.3 million it will cost this year.

They are not the NHS - they are a charity, and just 17% of their funding comes from the NHS.

More people than ever need a Hospice Bed, and tragically, too many people on the waiting list for a bed at Myton will die before they can access one.

As the only provider of Hospice Inpatient Beds in Coventry and Warwickshire, the demand is huge.

That’s why I’m taking on The Myton Hospices Moonlight Walk, to raise money so they can be there for everyone who needs them, now and in the future.

To reach this year’s Moonlight Walk target of £250,000, they rely entirely on sponsorship, and that’s where you come in. Just look at what your support could help fund:

• £94 could fund one adult counselling session
• £360 could fund our Myton at Home service for a patient for one day
• £450 could fund an Inpatient bed for one day
• £545 could fund the required drugs for one patient

Please donate today and help The Myton Hospices be there for those who need them most.

Myton Hospice staff are simply angels !

Wednesday 18th Feb
Most of you know that my amazing Mum, Diana, heartbreakingly lost her battle with MND on 22nd November 2025. She had a rare form of Motor Neurone Disease that took her ability to talk, eat and enjoy life as she knew it! She fought courageously for 3 years but in the end the MND won and took her from us.

Living with Mum, I did my best to help and care for her, but it became clear we both needed more help to make her more comfortable and manage this vile disease. Mum was blessed to spend her last few weeks in The Myton Hospice in Warwick. The amazing angels that work there made this time as best as it could be, caring for her like their own mother, laughing, joking and showing true care and kindness. The end was so peaceful after the tireless symptoms mum had endured. This was down to the support and compassion they gave her and us as a family.

As they rely mainly on fundraising, with only 17% coming from the NHS, I would ask anyone to donate whatever they can so the next person that needs this level of care, support and kindness can benefit and make the most difficult time in your life the best it can be.

I am walking the Myton Moonlight 10K with my friends in April, in memory of my wonderful Mum and to help the next family that needs Myton Hospice Care, I do not know how we would have coped without them.
