🌕 Who can take part in this year's Moonlight Walk?

Everyone can take part in this record-breaking event!

Children under 18 must be accompanied by a paying participating adult.

Both our 5km and 10km routes and venue are wheelchair & pushchair friendly.

Can I bring my dog?

Sadly, no dogs are allowed, except assistance dogs.


Do I have to be taking part to gain access to Warwick Castle?

Yes, you have to be participating in the event to access the grounds of Warwick Castle on the night.

Can my friends come to support me if they are not taking part?
Only paying entrants will be granted access to Warwick Castle grounds, including the start and finish area.

However, friends and family are very welcome to support you along the public sections of the route outside the Castle, where they can still be part of the atmosphere and cheer you on as you walk.

📅 When and where is the Moonlight Walk taking place?

The Myton Hospices Moonlight Walk takes place on on Friday 17th April at Warwick Castle.

The route will also take participants through Warwick town centre, which will be illuminated with special Moonlight Zones.

🏃‍♀️ What are the distances?

You can walk, jog, wheel or even dance our 5km and 10km routes.

Our Moonlight Walk is not a race but please note;

  • Those taking part in the 5km route must be able to complete it within 90 minutes to ensure re-entry to Warwick Castle.
  • Those taking part in the 10km route must be able to complete it within 3 hours, to ensure re-entry to Warwick Castle.

Both our routes are wheelchair and pushchair friendly, to ensure everyone can take part.

♿ Are the routes accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs?

Yes! Our Moonlight Walk routes are fully accessible for both wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Whether you're joining with little ones in tow or taking part in a wheelchair yourself, you’ll be able to join in the fun with ease.

🕘 What is the schedule for the day?

Here's the full timetable for this year’s Moonlight Walk at Warwick Castle:

  • 5.30pm – Registration opens & DJ starts the night off

  • 6.20pm – Speeches from Myton staff and supporters

  • 6.25pm – Zumba warm-up (for 10km walkers)

  • 6.30pm – 10km walk sets off

  • 6.30pm – 6.50pm – Registration temporarily closes

  • 6.50pm – 7.15pm – Registration reopens

  • 7.20pm – Speeches from Myton staff and supporters

  • 7.25pm – Zumba warm-up (for 5km walkers)

  • 7.30pm – 5km walk sets off

  • 7.30pm onwards – Live DJ and dancing

  • 10.00pm – Event closes

Be sure to arrive in plenty of time for your route – and don’t forget to soak up the music, sparkles and celebration before you set off!

What are the entry fees and when does the Early Bird Discount end?

  • £15 per person with our Early Bird Discount (ends Tuesday 17th March)

  • £20 after this date.

👕 How do I get my exclusive Moonlight Walk T-shirt?

Everyone who raises the suggested £30 minimum sponsorship will receive an exclusive 2026 Moonlight Walk T-shirt as a thank you for your support.

📦 How can I receive my T-shirt in advance of the big day?

You can collect your T-shirt at one of our dedicated collection days:

  • Monday 6th April – Coventry Myton Hospice – 11am to 6pm

  • Monday 13th April – Warwick Myton Hospice – 11am to 6pm

Alternatively, you can collect your T-shirt at the event from the T-shirt collection point at Warwick Castle.

🏅 Will I receive a medal?

Yes. Everyone who takes part will receive an exclusive Moonlight Walk medal at the finish line to celebrate your achievements and mark the occasion in style.

💜 What’s the suggested fundraising target?

There is no minimum sponsorship requirement to take part.

However, we suggest raising at least £30, which could pay for one hour of specialist nursing care.

This year, we’re aiming to raise £250,000 – enough to fund the recruitment, training and salary of five nurses for a year, helping us support more patients and families when they need us most.

As a big thank you, everyone who raises £30 or more will receive an exclusive 2026 Moonlight Walk T-shirt to wear with pride on the night.

✨ What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable – and don’t forget your sparkles!

It’s a celebration, so dress to shine. Weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes are recommended.

Everyone who raises £30 or more will receive an exclusive 2026 Moonlight Walk T-shirt
to wear with pride on the night.

🍔 Will there be food, entertainment and toilets?

Yes. There will be a variety of snacks and drinks on sale, plus food stands to keep you fuelled throughout the evening.

Toilet facilities will be available at Warwick Castle, and both cash and card payments will be accepted.

And don’t forget – the evening will be filled with live DJ sets, Zumba warm-ups, and Moonlight Zones with music, bubbles and foam to keep the energy high!

🚘 Where can I park?

Car parking will be charged at £5 per car in the Stratford Road Car Park (CV34 6AH).

Accessible car parking is available in the Stables Car Park (CV34 4QU).

If you require accessible parking, there are several mobility parking spaces at Warwick Castle, please email the Events Team if you would like to book one at events@mytonhospice.org

🧑‍⚕️ What about first aid?

First aid support will be available on site throughout.

If you are feeling unwell or need first aid please call the events team mobile number on your Walker’s ID that you will collect at the event.

Please be aware that the event takes place at night and next to some main roads, so please take care along the route and make sure you are aware of your surroundings. In the event of an emergency do not hesitate to call 999.

📣 How can I help raise money?

You can raise money by setting up a fundraising page and encouraging your friends, family and colleagues to donate. We also welcome Facebook fundraisers – just let us know if you’ve set one up so we can link it to your total.

There’s no minimum fundraising requirement, but if you raise £30 or more, you’ll receive an exclusive Moonlight Walk T-shirt as a thank you.

We’ll be with you every step of the way with handy hints and tips to help you reach your target and make a real difference to patients and families who need us.

💷 Where does my money go?

Your fundraising supports patients and their families at The Myton Hospices...

    To reach this year’s Moonlight Walk target of £250,000, they rely entirely on sponsorship, and that’s where you come in. Just look at what your support could help fund:

    • £94 could fund one adult counselling session
    • £360 could fund our Myton at Home service for a patient for one day
    • £450 could fund an Inpatient bed for one day
    • £545 could fund the required drugs for one patient

    🧣 Are carer tickets available?

    Yes! We offer free carer tickets for people who need assistance to take part in our Moonlight Walk.

    Carers are expected to stay with you and support you throughout the event.

    The person requiring assistance will need to buy a standard ticket as usual.

    To arrange a free carer ticket, please email us in advance at events@mytonhospice.org with the name of your designated carer.

    We’ll make sure their name is added to our registration list before the event day.
