This year, our walk for Myton is deeply personal. We are walking in memory of my Grandad, who sadly passed away in February at the incredible age of 100.

He was truly an amazing man — kind, caring, and full of warmth. In his final week, he was looked after by the wonderful team at Myton, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for more compassionate, dignified, and supportive care. The kindness they showed meant so much to our whole family during such a difficult time.

That’s why we’re taking on this 10km walk — to honour his memory and to help raise funds for such a fantastic charity, so they can continue supporting other families when they need it most.

And just a little reality check… 10km might not sound like much, but we’ll be dragging our two children along with us! That means prying them away from their screens, keeping them entertained, and stopping approximately 100 times for snacks… so please do think of us on the day! 😄

The Myton Hospices provides compassionate care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families - both in their Inpatient Units and out in the community.

To continue offering this care free of charge, they need to raise £12.7 million of the £15.3 million it will cost this year.

They are not the NHS - they are a charity, and just 17% of their funding comes from the NHS.

More people than ever need a Hospice Bed, and tragically, too many people on the waiting list for a bed at Myton will die before they can access one.

As the only provider of Hospice Inpatient Beds in Coventry and Warwickshire, the demand is huge.


That’s why I’m taking on The Myton Hospices Moonlight Walk, to raise money so they can be there for everyone who needs them, now and in the future.
