I'm taking on The Myton Hospices Moonlight Walk to help raise £250,000 amid a national hospice funding crisis! Please sponsor me today!

We know that’s a lot of money, but with your support, we’re confident we can do it!

The Myton Hospices provides compassionate care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families - both in their Inpatient Units and out in the community.

To continue offering this care free of charge, they need to raise £12.7 million of the £15.3 million it will cost this year.

They are not the NHS - they are a charity, and just 17% of their funding comes from the NHS.

More people than ever need a Hospice Bed, and tragically, too many people on the waiting list for a bed at Myton will die before they can access one.

As the only provider of Hospice Inpatient Beds in Coventry and Warwickshire, the demand is huge.

That’s why I’m taking on The Myton Hospices Moonlight Walk, to raise money so they can be there for everyone who needs them, now and in the future.

To reach this year’s Moonlight Walk target of £250,000, they rely entirely on sponsorship, and that’s where you come in. Just look at what your support could help fund:

• £94 could fund one adult counselling session
• £360 could fund our Myton at Home service for a patient for one day
• £450 could fund an Inpatient bed for one day
• £545 could fund the required drugs for one patient

Please donate today and help The Myton Hospices be there for those who need them most.

My story

Friday 20th Mar

My brother was only 18 when he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Micheal fought long and really hard unfortunately he died 5 years ago. He was cared for amazingly in the hospice. The staff were so supportive and caring. He was such a bright soul and a protective older brother. He did everything he could to support me. My favourite memories is being picked up in his mini after school and every time without fail he had sweets. He was a mechanic and a hard worker. If he wasn’t doing something to someone else’s car he was working on his. We would play darts in his room and watch the flash. He got me into so many of the things I love today. Unfortunately I didn’t get the opportunity to say goodbye. The staff and the hospice gave him the opportunity to be comfortable and cared for fully in his final days. We are so grateful for the work the hospice put in. I’m forever grateful for the time we had you but will forever be sad about the time you missed out on. But I will be forever grateful for making me closer to my little brother who is now my best friend when we’re not bickering <3
