I'm taking on The Myton Hospices Walk for Myton to help raise £75,000 amid a national hospice funding crisis! Please sponsor me today!

Im taking part in the Myton Hospice Walk to raise money for an incredible charity that means so much to me and my family.

When Mum was placed on palliative care and came home, we knew we didn’t have long together. Sadly, she was only home for a short time. But during those precious final days, the care and support she received from Myton Hospice was something I will never forget.

The kindness, compassion and understanding they showed Mum — and all of us — was truly powerful.

On the day Mum passed away, the hospice staff were able to recognise that she didn’t have long left and gently told me that the end was near. That gave me the chance to gather our family and, most importantly, allowed Mum to say goodbye over the phone to loved ones who couldn’t be there in person.

If the hospice team hadn’t given me that warning, I would never have had the opportunity to create those final moments and say those goodbyes. The closure that gave me and my family is something I will always be grateful for.

Myton Hospice provides such an important service to families at some of the hardest and most heartbreaking moments of their lives. And, as a charity, they rely heavily on donations and fundraising to continue providing that care to people who need it.

Please donate anything you can to support the incredible work of this charity 🙏🏽🫶🏽
