💜 Walking for Myton Hospice – In Memory of Our Dad 💜

In 2020, our family experienced the incredible care and compassion of Myton Hospices when our dad spent time there before he passed away. The care team at Myton Warwick were incredible offering support and care not just to our dad but to us too and without them I truly don’t think we were would have got through one of the toughest times in our lives. Now, we want to give back. This year, I’m taking on The Myton Hospices Moonlight Walk to help raise funds amid a national hospice funding crisis – aiming for a target of £250,000!

We know it’s a big goal, but with your support, we can make a real difference. Every step we take and every pound you donate helps provide vital care to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families – both in their Inpatient Units and out in the community.

💜 Why it matters:
• Myton Hospices provides care free of charge, but they need to raise £12.7 million of the £15.3 million it costs each year.
• Only 17% of their funding comes from the NHS – the rest relies on generous donors like you.
• Demand for hospice beds is higher than ever, and sadly, some people on the waiting list may not make it before a bed becomes available.
• Myton is the only provider of Hospice Inpatient Beds in Coventry and Warwickshire, so every donation counts.

💜 Here’s what your support could do:
• £94 funds one adult counselling session
• £360 funds Myton at Home for one patient for a day
• £450 funds an Inpatient bed for one day
• £545 funds the required drugs for one patient

We’re walking in memory of our dad, but more importantly, we’re walking for everyone who needs Myton now and in the future.
