Like so many of you reading this, far to many people we love have  had a diagnosis of cancer. Some luckily have beat it,  some deal daily with its effects and sadly some have lost their battle. This cause is very close to my heart. I have lost many much loved family members. My Grandad, 2 Aunt's and my brother-in-law who died far to young,  just 8 days after his pancreatic cancer diagnosis. Just before christmas 6 yrs ago.  5 years after her loss, my very brave sister then faced her own  cancer battle  but is thankfully doing well 🙏

I want to do something to help in some small way which is why i have decided to take on this 10k challenge.  And Myton Hospice does do  extraordinary work and provide such an invaluable service.

I am well aware times are hard for everyone at the moment but if you could  donate a pound or two I would be so very grateful.

We know that’s a lot of money, but with your support, we’re confident we can do it!

The Myton Hospices provides compassionate care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families - both in their Inpatient Units and out in the community.

To continue offering this care free of charge, they need to raise £12.7 million of the £15.3 million it will cost this year.

They are not the NHS - they are a charity, and just 17% of their funding comes from the NHS.

More people than ever need a Hospice Bed, and tragically, too many people on the waiting list for a bed at Myton will die before they can access one.

As the only provider of Hospice Inpatient Beds in Coventry and Warwickshire, the demand is huge.

That’s why I’m taking on The Myton Hospices Moonlight Walk, to raise money so they can be there for everyone who needs them, now and in the future.

To reach this year’s Moonlight Walk target of £250,000, they rely entirely on sponsorship, and that’s where you come in. Just look at what your support could help fund:

• £94 could fund one adult counselling session

• £360 could fund our Myton at Home service for a patient for one day

• £450 could fund an Inpatient bed for one day

• £545 could fund the required drugs for one patient
