In memory of our amazing daughter Cassie I am taking on the Myton Hospices Walk Half Marathon.
Cassie was diagnosed with incurable Diffuse Midline Glioma in Jan 2024 and sadly passed away on Boxing day 2025. The team at Myton were great and helped us all enormously during her illness and I’d like to give something back to such an amazing place.
I am doing this to help raise £75,000 amid a national hospice funding crisis! Please sponsor me today!
The Myton Hospices provides compassionate care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families - both in their Inpatient Units and out in the community.
It costs over £15 million every year to provide their services free of charge to their patients and their loved ones.
As a charity, with less than 20% funding coming from the NHS they must raise more than £12 million this year!
More people than ever need a Hospice Bed, and tragically, too many people on the waiting list for a bed at Myton will die before they can access one.
As the only provider of Hospice Inpatient Beds in Coventry and Warwickshire, the demand is huge.
That’s why I’m taking on The Myton Hospices Walk for Myton, to raise money so they can be there for everyone who needs them, now and in the future.
To reach this year’s Walk for Myton target of 75,000, they rely entirely on sponsorship, and that’s where you come in. Just look at what your support could help fund:
• £360 could fund our Myton at Home service for a patient for one day
• £450 could fund an Inpatient bed for one day
• £545 could fund the required drugs for one patient
Please donate today and help The Myton Hospices be there for those who need them most.
