I'm taking on the Warwick Half Marathon to help raise £25,000 in aid of The Myton Hospices amid a national hospice funding crisis! Please sponsor me today!

We know that’s a lot of money, but with your support, we’re confident we can do it!

The Myton Hospices provides compassionate care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families - both in their Inpatient Units and out in the community.

It costs over £15 million every year to provide their services free of charge to their patients and their loved ones.

As a charity, with less than 20% funding coming from the NHS they must raise more than £12 million this year!

More people than ever need a Hospice Bed, and tragically, too many people on the waiting list for a bed at Myton will die before they can access one.

As the only provider of Hospice Inpatient Beds in Coventry and Warwickshire, the demand is huge.

That’s why I’m taking on the Warwick Half Marathon, to raise money so they can be there for everyone who needs them, now and in the future.

To reach this year’s target of £25,000, they rely entirely on sponsorship, and that’s where you come in. Just look at what your support could help fund:

• £94 could fund one adult counselling session
• £360 could fund our Myton at Home service for a patient for one day
• £450 could fund an Inpatient bed for one day
• £545 could fund the required drugs for one patient

Please donate today and help The Myton Hospices be there for those who need them most.

Running the Warwick Half Marathon for Myton Hospice 💙

Monday 12th Oct

I’m so excited to share that I’ll be taking on the Warwick Half Marathon in support of Myton Hospice!

Taking on a half marathon is a challenge in itself, but being able to do it for such an important cause makes every training run, every early morning, and every difficult mile feel that little bit more worthwhile.

Myton Hospice provides vital care and support to people living with a terminal illness, as well as their families and loved ones. The work they do makes such a meaningful difference to people during some of the most difficult times in their lives. Being able to support a charity that provides this level of care is something I’m incredibly proud of.

Why I’m taking on the challenge

Running 13.1 miles will push me both physically and mentally. There will undoubtedly be challenging training sessions, moments when motivation is difficult to find, and miles that feel harder than others. However, knowing that I’m running to raise money for Myton Hospice gives me an extra reason to keep going.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support the incredible work Myton Hospice does for patients and their families. If taking on this challenge can help raise awareness and contribute towards the care they provide, then every mile will be worth it.

How you can support me

I would be so grateful for any support as I work towards race day. Whether that means donating, sharing my fundraising page, or simply cheering me on, every bit of encouragement means so much.

Thank you to everyone who has already supported me and to anyone who chooses to donate. Your generosity will help make a real difference to a charity that supports so many people when they need it most.

I can’t wait to take on the Warwick Half Marathon, challenge myself, and hopefully raise as much money as possible for Myton Hospice.

13.1 miles for a cause that matters. Let’s do this! 💙🏃‍♀️
